Texas. Epic Sports & Entertainment is an international event planning & marketing firm
specializing in outdoor sports & special events.
At Epic, we execute & deliver top-notch events. Our events include, The US Wind & Water Open
(formerly Velocity Games), which features the US Wind Surfing Regatta, the US Kiteboarding
Open & the USWWO 5K run. The USWWO 5K is the official warm-up run for the Beach to Bay
Relay Marathon and features a $1200 Purse. Competitors from all over the world travel to Corpus
Christi, Texas, which is known for high winds & warm waters, to participate in the US Wind &
Water Open for a chance to win over $10K in prizes & money, as well as an opportunity showcase

Epic serves as the management firm for the 2008 Conquer the Coast™ cycling event. Conquer the
Coast (CTC) features a 65 Mile Ride which encompasses the Corpus Christi Bay including: a
beautiful sunrise climb over the Harbor Bridge, a route through the coastal communities and
fishing villages of Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, and Port Aransas, a ferry ride across the
intercoastal canal, a scenic cruise down Padre Island crossing over the JFK Causeway, a tour
through Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi and a bike friendly path down Ocean Drive. Proceeds
from the event benefit the Tarpon Foundation, which provides scholarships for the TAMU-CC
Islander Athletics program, and the Chamber Foundation (Leadership Corpus Christi). As the 5th
Annual Conquer the Coast™ approaches, the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce & Epic have
focused on strengthening the event to attract more cyclists from around the state, the country, and
from Mexico. The event attracts over 2000 cyclists and spectators, and added a new element in
2007 known as the CTC CRITERIUM. This event draws a substantial audience comprised of
sponsors and area citizens as extreme cyclists hit high speeds of 30-40 MPH through a
designated route in the downtown and uptown area of Corpus Christi, Texas.
January 5, 2008, Epic Sports & Entertainment kicks off the new year with the Oso Creek 5k Run,
Walk & Stroller Push. The Oso Creek 5k features over $1050 in purse money for the Timed Run
and $450 in Saving Bonds for the Children's Run. The Oso Creek 5k host a 2 mile run for children
9 & under for a chance to win cool prizes from the Corpus Christi Hooks baseball team!
